Marvin Schaefer
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Marvin attended the University of Pittsburgh, and graduated in 1968 with concentrations in Chemistry, Physics and Biology. After a short stay in the U.S. Army, Marvin went to work as a Foreign Exchange Trader/International Loan Officer for Society Bank (now Key Bank) before embarking on his three decade long career lumber business -- a business that is strikingly similar to Foreign Exchange where your "your word is your bond."

Marvin strongly believes, like Woody Hayes, "It all starts with blocking and tackling -- three yards and a cloud of dust. If you focus on the fundamentals and make sure there's a foundation for growth, you will grow, " Marvin says.

Steve Belman
Steve grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and attended Ohio University where he graduated in 1971 with Honors in History. Afterwards he attended Law School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia., and was a practicing attorney specializing in corporate law and real estate before founding Manufacturer's Wholesale Lumber in 1983 with Marvin Schaefer.

Steve attributes Troymill's success in the lumber manufacturing business to the company's flexibility and customer-oriented service: sitting down face-to-face with customers and figuring out how to deliver the best value-add for their money. He affirms that after three decades in the lumber business the only constant is change, and Troymill is a link in a chain of customers, suppliers, employees -- and that those relationships that are the most valuable aspect of Troymill's business.

Keith Grinberg, General Manager
Keith grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Kent State University, where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Earning his CPA, he practiced accounting with Price Waterhouse and then with a regional accounting firm for ten years before becoming a corporate lender for Society Bank (now Key Bank), and subsequently with SS&G Financial Services for ten years.

As the General Manager at Troymill Wood Products, Keith assists in all facets of operations, sales, and administration. He enjoys working in the wood products industry -most especially working with the Amish Community - and having an impact on the diversity of Troymill's growing business. Keith strongly believes in honesty, integrity, and exceeding expectations. The key to success in business, Keith affirms, "Don't make a promise you can't keep. And work hard to exceed an expectation."

Christ Miller
Christ is a lifelong resident of Middlefield, Ohio, and has been working with and around wood his whole life.

As one of the principals of the original business that combined to create Troymill Wood Products, he was both a customer and a supplier to Manufacturers Wholesale Lumber, and has been working with Marvin and Steve since the beginning.

As the Production Manager for Troymill Wood Products, Christ enjoys the challenge of producing the best quality products possible -- and delivering quality that will make customers want to come back. He likes to see the employees benefit as well, because he likes to see "people with happy faces".

Brian Schaefer
